OUR PHYSICIANS
Dr. Hartrich grew up in the town of Tonawanda, NY, and attended St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute where he was the class salutatorian. He then spent four years in South Bend, Indiana, obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Hartrich graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Pre-Professional Studies. He then moved on to Syracuse, NY, where he received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical Center. While at SUNY-UMC he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor medical society.
Dr. Hartrich then returned home to complete his 4 year combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at the SUNY Buffalo School of medicine. During his final year of his residency, he co-founded our current group in 1987 with Dr. Aquino. At the beginning of the 1998-1999 season, Dr. Hartrich joined the medical staff of the Buffalo Sabres where he is the team Internist.

Dr. Heyden grew up in the town of Tonawanda and attended St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute. He then attended Canisius College, where he received an undergraduate degree in chemistry. Following this, Dr. Heyden attended SUNY Upstate Medical College in Syracuse, where he received his medical degree in 1991.
Dr. Heyden then returned home to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine and was fortunate enough to be allowed to change to a Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency during the second half of his second year. Although the respective boards only allowed credit for one year of internal medicine, Dr. Heyden went on to complete his residency in December 1995. During the last year of residency, Dr. Heyden served as the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Buffalo General Hospital.
Following completion of residency, Dr. Heyden joined the division of Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at the SUNY Buffalo School of medicine in January of 1996. He served at the Elmwood Health Center in Buffalo, NY, where he had patient care and teaching responsibilities. He served in that role until October 1998, when he joined the group with Drs. Aquino, Hartrich, and Hrab.

Dr. Eric Thierman grew up in Allegany, NY, where he attended Allegany High School. He then spent the next five years obtaining his Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics degrees at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Thierman then enrolled in the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine.
Following his medical degree, Dr. Thierman remained in Buffalo to complete his residency in Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics. During that time, Dr. Thierman did his ambulatory care requirements in our office.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Thierman returned to his roots, and spent 3 years in the Southern tier of New York working with the University Primary Care Group in Olean, NY. He then returned to Buffalo and joined our group in 2006.

Dr. Nicole Riedy joined the practice in April of 2012.
She grew up in Pendleton, NY and attended Holy Angels Academy for high school.
From there she graduated from Canisius College for her undergraduate studies, and she then went on to study medicine at the Lecom-Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Sarah Boice is a Western New York native. She received her undergraduate degree in biology at Niagara University. After graduating she participated in research with a focus in immunology at the University of Rochester before attending medical school at the University of Rochester.
Dr. Boice did her residency at University of Buffalo in a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program. In her final year of residency she served as chief resident.
She joined the practice in August of 2020.
